Loyola tops Bishop Foley in football : It was Loyola High School that remained undefeated at the end of Friday night, defeating Bishop Foley 28-14 in Madison Heights. Bishop Foley struck first in the game with a field goal in the closing seconds of the first half. Two quick touchdowns with 5:28 and then 3:45 left in the third quarter put Loyola ahead 14-3. Bishop Foley added another field goal before another two touchdowns put loyola up 28-6. A stingy Loyola defense only let Bishop Foley into the endzone with less than a minute left in the game. A two-point conversion ended the scoring at 28-14.

Regina tops host Ladywood in girl’s golf : Ladywood’s varsity golf team hosted Regina at St. John’s in Plymouth on Thursday, Sept. 23. A more experienced Regina team triumphed in the matchup by a score of 195 to 215. The Catholic League championship for golf is drawing near and will be held on the same course on Tuesday, Oct. 5.
